About Me
Sewing, original design and costume replicating have all been passions of mine for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to the world of "Fandom" in 1994 when I attended my very first Sci-Fi convention in Orlando. I attended 2 more local conventions then flew out to LA, California for a Memorial Weekend convention. It was a blast. I met several friends at the local conventions and was urged to attend Dragoncon in the fall of 1994. I was hooked. I came in through Star Trek and then branched out to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Renaissance, and other Sci-Fi/fantasy genres.
A little over a year ago I started doing Biker Scout soft costumes for the 501st Legion Pathfinders, and have become somewhat of an offical supplier of soft parts for the Empire. My significant other, Ross, has been my partner in making other parts, boots, weapon props, etc. His Ewok Stompers, though not mass produced, have been very popular in the ranks of www.thebikersocut.net In our first year as suppliers we were awarded one of the first 6 "Vixxies" for our work and support of the forum. I also made the first official Pathfinder Guideon which has traveled around the world for major public events such as Star Wars Weekends in Orlando, Florida, Celebration IV in Los Angeles, CA, Celebration Europe in London, England and continues to be present at other special events. I have been proud to have Legion members where my costume parts in the 2007 Tournement of Roses Parade in Passadena , California and our first 3 Lancer status Bikerscouts including our detachment armorer have all qualified wearing the soft armor V/C/P I have made. I have also modified flight suits adding the details that make them screen accurate and produced other costume parts for them.
My latest costume added to my repitoire is the red velvet, satin lined Royal Guard cloaks for the Soveriegn Protectors.
As a Star Wars enthusiast, I have been fortunate to meet so many others. Artist, sculpters, and visionaries in their own rights, I learn from them, aid them when I can and develope lasting friendships with my fellow enthusiast.
My mottos for Outtadis World Threads has been "if you can dream it, draw it or describe it, I can make it."
