Karma Ghost

About Me

Karma Ghost sounds like what might have happened if Kurt Cobain had gotten clean and joined Third Eye Blind. Formed in 2002, the trio has found the balance between staying true to their roots while bringing something new to the table. "We make it a point to neither get lost in emulation nor try to anticipate the next big thing", says frontman Dave Christopher.
They have already managed to generate positive response from their live show, landing a gig at Denver's renowned Bluebird Theater after only one performance, and they have admittedly developed a taste for it. "Playing to a crowd is the greatest feeling in the world", says Christopher. "We're addicted."
The band draws from an unusually diverse pool of influences, each coming from different musical backgrounds. Dave skews towards melodic rock, alternative, and indie, while drummer Jace Johnson is an old-school metal fan, and bassist Jan Docter prefers music that is more vocally-driven, like Poe and early Jewel. Their primary influences include Nirvana, The Refreshments, Third Eye Blind, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Fastball, and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, with hints of Metallica and Ozzy looming in the background.
Fusing passion, angst, and melody, Karma Ghost is a force to be reckoned with.
Karma Ghost's debut release, "Another November" is available on iTunes , Amazon.com , CD Baby , and most online music services.
