Interests:
Personal fulfillment - of course! What other interest could there be?!
Philosophy - millenia of effort devoted to the construction and ratification of a scientific method for human reasoning, the justification the universe, and our place in it.
Theology - What in the hell have those Catholics done to the Muslims in the name of the Jews this time???!!!
Quantum physics - If the key to understanding the universe were a piece-wise defined function where science and philosophy approached from the left and theology approached from the right, quantum physics would be the point where they meet.
Unarmed combat - Ahhh... the wind in your knuckles... the furious dance of death that requires a rhythm that no professional dancer or peace-loving bleeding-heart could ever hope to understand. It's just a simple, way to keep that edge... the physical fortitude that allows you to take just a little more punishment than the rest, thus showing them that where they end, you begin. And damned if it ain't just fun! I mean, win or lose, it's a very personal and introspective experience... almost holy.
Aggrivating people with my very existence - Why commit suicide? Wouldn't it be a much more elegent solution if you could simply drive the REAL source of your woes to do themselves in... just by sticking around? At least then you would be around to enjoy your victory.
Prana-bindu deep training - To be able to exercize conscious control over your body at the atomic level... not likely, but it passes the time.
Rampant speculation - Why is infinity considered the largest number, when there are clearly an infinite number of units on either side of zero on the number line, thus infering two-infinity (a number at least twice that of infinity)? Who cares? But again, it passes the time.
Drawing angry, selfish, bitter drawings - I was always too small to play (let alone get picked to play) sports in school and had no social skills (still don't) so naturally, I turned to more solitary pursuits driven by anger... with no intention of changing.
Good guys:
Carl Sagan - unfortunately, he's already dead.
Stephen Hawkins - to get the scoop on how he beds nurses while in a wheelchair and gettin' his yap on with nothing but a Speak-n-spell.
Werner Heisenberg - to let him know that he will forever serve as an inspiration to mediocre geniuses everywhere.
Yoshitaka Amano - Tetsuo Shima meets Liberaci and managed by Tank Girl. The Final-fantasy series is by far, one of the highest achievements of the Lilum culture!!!
Cliff Stoll - the owner and proprietor of Acme Klein Bottle Co. is, if I'm lucky, generally what I intend to be by the time I'm 60! He's got it ALL! The hair, the style, the brain, the sense of humor... women want him, and men want to be him! Yep! Whiling away my golden years making mind-bending knick-knacks, that's gonna' be ME!
Tom Robbins - Certinly the poster-child for the skanky white underbelly of pastoral prose. Douglas Adams, Danielle Steel, and Kurt Vonegut, all rolled into one... and I'm only on page 30!!! What a great privilege it would be for me to spend an evening talking to someone so clever and estute... and what a dismal waste of time for him!
Miscellaneous:
The me that exists in Nina's head - I think he and I need to have a serious talk about just what the hell we've been telling her about us. It could be friendly and end well, or it could end in slagged earth and still-born babies for decades to come while the surrounding matter cools enough to emit EM radiation in the visible portions of the spectrum.
People who don't capitalize properly - just to stare at them. Who knows? They might be hot and interesting... and just not very good... at ... capitalization.
Werner Heisenberg - to let him know that he will forever serve as an inspiration to ONLY mediocre geniuses everywhere.
My invisible friend - no, really! Go on! Count them! There are only nine, and yet the system count reads 10!
Bad guys:
Michael Eisner - in a dark alley. I mean, c'mon!!! "Lion King", "Atlantis"!? If you don't believe me, please, experience " Holy Land " for yourself!!!
The woman from the " Alice " advertisements - The only relevance I can think of that she might have to broadband Internet access is that she herself, must be fast, cheap, and easy to get.
The artistic elite - Hipocritical fascist bastards. Who're they to claim that they've cornered the market on feeling and beauty?!
The intellectual elite - Hipocritical facist bastards. Who're they to claim they've cornered the market on logic and inovation?!
The elite - I only have to best you once to make your entire lives a lie... you have to beat me EVERY time!
Black & white photos of cute couples - Keep your damned photogenic, lovey-dovey, starey-eyed, Christmas-card-eligible mugs outta' my FACE!!! ... until I can hit you back with a photo of my own... which might take a while because HEY! Some of us just don't take a very nice picture... DAMNIT!
General - for the most part, TV is drivel. The viewer-base is too diverse to profitably support the sorts of things I find entertaining. As it is, if I do have occasion to watch TV, it's usually in the form of a whole season at a time on DVDs.
Nova - " U S A " I love me some educaional programming! They were talking about the breakdown of the gulf-stream convection over 6 years before "The day after tomorrow" came out!
Welt der Wunder - " Deut sch land " a sort of "How things work-esque" show for Germans. But, since it's on a commercial network, it must appeal to a broad range of viewers and is therefore a bit lacking in the technical department. The host looks like a chubby George Klooney.
Galileo - " Deut sch land " This is another German program. It's more for technophiles and deals more with everyday topics, as opposed to abstracts like atomic fission.
Yoshi's castle - " Ni pp on " It's nice to know that all Asian people aren't ninjas... it helps us little white kids sleep a little better at night.
Heroes:
Me - I'm the hero of this story. You could make the argument that the people I've met along the way were the ones responsible for my opinions of the world in general, but I'm the one who ultimately decided what I would learn, if anything, from them.
You could say that chance had allot to do with how I developed, but I'm the one who made the decisions to give myself those chances and whether or not I took them.
The only common factor in all of the experiences I've had and relationships I've been in is... ME!
