Former member and founder of multi-platinum and two times MTV Awards Latin America winner band, LIBIDO, Jeffry Fischman began his music career as a member, songwriter and manager of the band. After the first album's success --which led to a contract with Sony Music-- he focused entirely in the artistic side, always assisting and developing his ideas as an executive producer for albums and shows. During these years, Jeffry recorded as member of the band, 4 pop-rock albums and many of his songs reached the first place on the national and international media rankings. Gifted songwriter, Jeffry Fischman wrote "En Esta Habitación" ("In this room") which became Song of the Year (Perú, 2000). Fischman toured the world playing with LIBIDO enthralling large audiences (concerts w/ over 50,000 people) with his music and lyrics. Along these years, he worked with successful producers and engineers such as: Duane Baron (Ozzy Osbourne), Tweety Gonzalez (Cerati), Thom Russo (Juanes), Doug Trantow (Hootie and the Blowfish), etc. and achieved with the band a privileged place as one of the most important artists in the history of his country, a recognition that came when the band image appeared in a postal stamp. The extensive music and lyrics of this distinguished songwriter includes works of enormous success such as "Invencible", "Sin Rencor", "Estoy Tan Gris", “Hembra", among others.
Fischman started his studies in music at a very young age obtaining later a bachelor degree in Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, with highest honors. Parallel to his writing, production, arranging and playing for Libido, he constantly realized musical productions for different artists. In 2004, Jeffry moved to the USA to continue his career as a producer/songwriter. He specialized at Berklee College of Music, graduating Summa Cum Laude in Contemporary Writing and Production while working as a freelance producer/ songwriter. In 2006 he was recognized as one of the main writers of his country by the Peruvian Composers and Writers Association: APDAYC.
In 2007 Fischman has the great opportunity to establish himself in New York City where he meets and later works under the experience of successful producer and multi-platinum hit maker Billy Mann (Pink, Joss Stone, Backstreet Boys, etc.), with whom he has the possibility of developing next to top notch professionals in the world music industry. At present Jeffry Fischman is producing for Latin American and American artists and writing with prestigious songwriters, Grammy winners and renowned artists.
