The Murphy Art Center is nearly a city block full of arts and culture experiences. It currently houses several galleries (most specializing in contemporary art by local and national artists), 23 studios, art supplies, art-related books and gifts and a pizza restaurant in the Fountain Square neighborhood. The Murphy is a member of Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association and participates with a building-wide opening celebration on the First Friday of each month.
