Mick Whitaker Whilst still at school, Mick formed Blues And Beyond, featuring Mark Knoppfler on rhythm guitar and Micky Gallager ..board. He signed up for the Marines and found time to form a band (with ever changing personel)which regularly performed in the Naffi.
In 1969, together with fellow songwriter Tom Farrier, he sercured a deal with the United Artists - Halfbreed were formed. Mick went on to tour with acts such as Nazareth, Leo Sayer and the Moody Blues, amongst others. At the last count he has made 12 albums.
Mike Waller Mike performed in acoustic guitar trios and Trad Jazz bands while at school. His first pro-gigs were mostly as a lounge pianist and vocalist. Mike teamed up with Charlie in Harcourt's Heroes in 1977, with Ray Jackson on lead vocals. He toured Germany and Denmark with the rhythm section from this band. Later, the Mike Waller Experience took on once a week residencys in the North East. The included the Rex in Whitley Bay, the Corner House in Heaton, The Phesant in North Shields and The Park Hotel in Tynemouth. His theatre work included stage manager/musician for the NTC in Alnwick in 1980 and a spell in the West End working with Alan Price in the production of Andy Capp.
An early partner ship with Mick and Charlie was the 'Geordie Aid' song, Try Giving Everything in 1984, which Mike composed and produced with Ray Laidlaw. Mike performed many shows with Mick throughout the '80's.
