About Me

Hi! My name is Nicolai Funch and I'm a 27 year old Pop songwriter. At the moment I'm working towards a new album.About me:I was introduced to music in an early age playing on my mothers piano and guitar and creating my own songs in the livingroom.Through my childhood I've lived in Switzerland, USA and of course Denmark. We've moved around a lot and I think that's what has created my restless and creative soul.My mom wanted me to play classical music and tried to persuade me to play the French Horn, Trumpet and Violin, but in the end I ended up playing drums and loving soul music especially motown hitsWhile everyone else my age listened to Danish popular music I fell in love with the American music scene, artists like James Taylor, Stevie Wonder and Dave matthews Band. Later on bands and musicians like The Beatles, John Mayer, Rufus Wainright, Nick Drake, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell opened up my musical heart and universe.You are more than welcome to write in my guest book if you have questions or comments.In my blog I'll try to keep everyone who is interested updated on what's going on right now.Nicolai
