HELDHOSTAGE

Heldhostage is Markeez and Tunek, born and raised in the same neighborhood with two different lifestyles but share the same outlook on life. Markeez born Oct. 17, 1981, grew up with a drug gang infested family which lead him to be on his own in the streets by the time he was thirteen. Once there he became influenced by the world of gang violence which brought many near death experiences, drug abuse and jail bars, to say the least. Like many youngmen in urban areas he found himself trapped by the situations life throws at us, which causes us to be blind to the rest of the world and opportunities. Tunek1 born June 18, 1981, born into a decent family living in a corrupted neighborhood, where drug flow and dodging bullets are part of our daily life. Spending most of his time out in the streets, where curiosity and temptation began to build up at an early age. At the young age of eleven, he was already leaving his mark on society becoming one of the youngest taggers in his area to cause rukus. While some say this was bad for Tunek it was an escape from joining the local gang which Markeez was from. This wasnt a troubleless life he began to collect tickets, seeing many court dates and eventually got thrown in jail. Growing up in the South East Los Angeles area they constanly kept crossing eachothers paths. It wasnt until their late teen years when they finally connected through the love of music. One day freestyling flows in there summer school class together, they found there was something valuable in eachothers minds. They began discussing street politics, lifestyles, and struggles, looking for an outlet they began making music with other mcees. But in the end it was just them two hanging on to there passion, forming the building blocks which now is HELDHOSTAGE!!!!
