About Me

Sometimes I lack social skills; I can be obtuse yet quick-witted, charming and still awkward. I’ll see the forest, but forget that it’s made of trees. I do the best I can, but I'm still constantly reminding myself that not everyone will do things my way, and that others will find a way to do it better. When I’m on my game I’m good, but I’m not always on. I no longer try to be. I am me and that’s all I’m willing to give.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I’m interested in meeting people who have something to say for themselves without parroting the opinions of another or something they picked up after reading a single book. I’m interested in the subversives who are of independent mind; persons who hold that mirror to everyday society; persons who know how to survive both inside and out of the pack; persons who know that they cannot save the world, but are still willing to try.

From my cold, dead hand.

The recent spate of gun violence represented in the media has left me with wondering if this is from an actual increase, perhaps aggravated by a depressed global economy with a realization of the frag...

I remember now....

This morning I had an early meeting, too early. Afterwards I needed coffee so I decided to take a break and walk to Cup of Joe's. The doors were locked and a nasty notice was on the door from the Cons...

Hemmingway and the IT Guy

This morning I had a minor technical issue at work and had to submit a request to the "I.T. Guy". If you've ever tried getting something from one of these people, you might have an idea what I was loo...

Playing with Persephone

NOTE: I should warn you that this is still an incomplete thought. I just felt like throwing it out here to see how it looks and will most likely get back to it within the next couple days. ...And all...

If you mess with the bull. . . .

Two bulls are standing on top of a hill; a young bull and a much older bull. They're looking over a herd of cows, and the younger bull says, "Let's run down there and fuck ourselves one of them cows!"...

Destroying the self, one position at a time.

I lay there on the floor, spent, gasping for air, covered in sweat and surrounded by some symbolic puddle of the accumulated filth of an active weekend. I watched her cross the room towards me, slowly...

And little man, little Lola wants you. . . .

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." ~Anais Nin Sometimes growth is painful, actually most of the time it is. It's never ea...
