Finally real music! Born Latoiya Wagner on Chicago’s Southside, TOI has endured her share of hardships on her way to the top. Knowing her dreams of becoming a star won’t be easy, This aspiring R&B/Soul songstress still perservered and is determined to shine and make her name one of the biggest in R&B music. Its been a long road for TOI but it is her smooth, melodic yet aggressive voice that is carrying her through. Not to mention her mixture of sweetness, sass and sex appeal that she also displays in her songwriting. "It’s not easy being young and totally decided on what it is you want to do with yourself, just keep in mind that whatever makes you happy and allows you to be of some inspiration to another, your decision should be easy". Explains TOIOnce a former member of the R&B Duo EMAGE with her Twin sister, it was time to move on once learning that her sister didn’t want to continue to pursue music anymore. "It, hurt like hell...just imagine comparing your lifes goals, sharing ideas, planning your life with someone who you thought shared the same interests as you, then to quit. I mean just throw it all away". Now forced to continue without her right hand TOI is stronger than ever. Ready and willing to put the painful fast behind and look forward to new beginnings. The hardshps, the past rejection from label execs and now a feeling of abandonment is enough to stop anybody from moving on, but it’s only fuel, ammunition and energy to write even more heartfelt, soulful music that is meaningful to any ear that listens.Despite of what the industry is today (brainwashed, look-driven extremely picky and now ruled by overly used auto-tuned vocals, an abundance of flat and sharp notes and radio DJ’s turned A&R that haven’t the slightest idea what R&B music is) TOI is determined to set herself apart from what we know as R&B music today.
