In the 23rd Century, I served aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. My primary duty was serving as transporter chief, however, there were times when I worked as an engineering assistant as well as a relief helmsman and I was also trained to operate the science station. In 2267, I was on duty as transporter chief when the Enterprise was thrown back to the Earth's year of 1969 following the use of the Light-Speed Breakaway Factor, also known as The Slingshot Effect, in order to escape the gravitational pull of a black star. I happened to be in the transporter room when John Christopher entered, pointing a phaser at me, and demanding that I transport him back to Earth. Fortunately Christopher was immobilized by Captain Kirk before he was able to carry out his threat. I later stood by in the transporter room while Kirk and Sulu beamed down to the airbase in order to retrieve the data as well as audio/video evidence of the Enterprise's presence so that it would then simply be dismissed as just another "UFO". After accidentally beaming up an Air Police Sergeant, I was immediately assigned the duty of watching him. After I beamed a second landing party down to the base, I asked the sergeant if he was hungry, and served him some chicken soup from the food synthesizer. I was also working in the transporter room when I was approached by Marla McGivers. She was pointing a phaser at me and telling me to move away from the transporter console. As I was moving away, Khan Noonien Singh came up from behind, incapacitating me. On another occasion I was also incapacitated by Dr. McCoy after he became delusional following an accidental overdose of cordrazine. Over all, I suppose one could say that I have had a rather interesting experience/career aboard the USS Enterprise.
