Bob and Heather originally met through MySpace in late 2006, when Bob invited local music enthusiasts to attend a performance. After the show, they went for a drink (Heather tips in beer), and they discovered a shared fondness for Guinness, harmony, and juvenile sexual innuendo.
After Heather joined Bob onstage several times, they decided it was time to come up with a name. Since both are originally from New England (Bob hails from Western MA, and Heather is a Rhode Island gal), and as both are particularly poor golfers, the decision was easy. Thank goodness they hit notes with more accuracy than they do golf balls.
