With a no nonsense attitude this DJ plays just how he feels. theDOM isn’t the type of guy who will pull punches with his music and doesn’t think he needs to "sell out" to get bookings. As a DJ for the last 8 years, he’s never had to change his style to put people on the dancefloor or better yet to get bookings.Under the alter ego known as Karupzun, theDOM began to develop his skills on the tables in late 2000. As Karupzun he knew the only way to make a name for himself was to make waves. By doing just that, theDOM was able to attract the eyes of JitterJaw Productions. In 2001 was the first of several bookings where not only he was able to further hone his abilities, but gain recognition and respect from his peers. However, by 2004 living life too much in excess as Karupzun, theDOM left the scene to reconcile his demons and would return 2 years later with a new name, new life, new attitude and new sound. As one of the original members of the Toxic crew, theDOM began to realize his new sound was not only different from that of his counterparts but, it began to have a strong following. Needless to say this didn’t go over very well as more people came to see theDOM then that of the other members of the Toxic crew. Thus, theDOM’s last performance was on the inaugural Toxic White Party where he proceeded to enact a plan to make his departure from the crew memorable. Not one to shy away from controversy, theDOM’s last appearance with the Toxic crew is still remembered and talked about a year later as not only one of the best sets that’s ever been played but the hardest they’ve heard.Mixing all kinds of House with Techno with a flair for Oldschool is his signature. But theDOM feels mostly at easy playing Hard, Dirty, Gritty Techno. Now with his eyes set on the sounds coming from his partner in crime DJ Kamikaze and others from his genre, theDOM is developing an affinity towards the gritty, hard sounds of Ghetto Tech and Jumpstyle.Although there have been many transformations for theDOM both personally and as a DJ he’s been steadfast on his beliefs and knows how to rock a crowd with the best of them.
