Ozark Wilderness Acoustic Club

About Me

The Ozark Wilderness Acoustic Club is also known as the Ozark Wilderness Dulcimer Club. It was founded in 1989 and the first President of the club was Loyd Woods. The club meets once a month {not enough for us hard core players} haha. We are always looking for new members who are exited about acoustic music. We welcome all the myspace friends also. We play every kind of acoustic instrument we can get there, Guitars, {12 and 6 strings} banjos, fiddles, Mandolins, Auto harps, Mountain dulcimers and hammer Dulcimers. Spoons and washboards even make the acoustic scene from time to time. We meet at the Park Plaza Christain Church on the first Tuesday night of the new month. Meeting time is 6:30 p.m. each evening. We are located in the town of Joplin, MO. We are in the ozarks and you can tell when we start to play. The Current President is Donna Boeke. Vice President is K. Barker. The dues are only 12 dollars a year. We play different funtions as we are invited and the club is very active in the community of Joplin. If you like Acoustic music come bring your instrument and check us out. We have all level of musicians so do not be bashful, there are no stars just good folks who like to jam and that is what the club is about, the music and the people.
