RUEL AKA BLESSED

After completing two years at Point Park University as a Dance Major, Ruel took a leave of absence to play the role of Roberto Clemente in CLO’s production of “Aribba, Aribba”. Deciding to extend his leave, Ruel continued to pursue modeling and acting opportunities along the way. No stranger to the stage, Ruel played in numerous musicals and stage plays including Kuntu’s production of “Bubbling Brown Sugar”, “Buffalo Soldiers”, “Lavendar Lizards and Lilac Landmines” and others. Ruel won the Onyx Award for best supporting actor for his role in “Hambone” at the Pittsburgh Playwright Theater. Other notable Pittsburgh Playwright plays were “Fences”, “Hoodwinked” and “Eighty-Six”. Ruel recently played the role of J R in New Horizon’s production of “Get Ready”.

In addition to acting, Ruel enjoys choreographing for school musicals and dance schools, as well as singing and modeling. He plans to further his acting, modeling and singing career in New York in the near future. Above all, Ruel thanks God for always seeing him through and extends a special thank you to his family and friends who have always been there.
