As elsewhere in the world, the health, economic of Sierra Leoneâ€,,s young community has suffered steady decline since the late 1980â€,,s. Family farms, which once formed an economic base, supporting large numbers of rural inhabitants, have been all but eradicated by war. Moreover, since the war began, Sierra Leone has lost vast amount of its manufacturing jobs, educational facilities and programs. As a result, many individuals from Sierra Leone especially our young men and women are running to other countries to seek jobs and stability, which is not only depopulating the country but also impoverishing communities, contributing to the growing pool of urban uneducated and unemployed. Salone Pikin Dem Charity have been working with other organizations in Sierra Leone and here in the United State to develope programs that we feel will significantly help the nation give assistance to those without the means of gaining education or receiving healthcare; we believe it is possible to reverse current trends by enabling young childern to retain a viable education and high quality employment. We also offer programs where we will provide educational HIV/Aids classes and employment opportunities ranging from small manufacturing services to retail and arts & entertainment development. Which will diversify our economy for the first time in generations. Thus, we believe that the promotion of self sufficiency, better health, economic and social well-being of children, and youth in the communities which will give special attention to vulnerable populations such as orphans or, children in low-income families and will help alleviate the current trend of poverty throughout Sierra Leone. Salpidco's program is designed explicitly to address this lack of parity, and help level the communications playing field. With collaborations from our members, other non-profit organizations, Community Colleges, State Universities, and companies that recycle computer hardware, we are in the process of raising funds for start up cost in the United States and program implementation in Sierra Leone. Our organization will like the opportunity to start improving the lives of the children throughout Sierra Leone and the world; we are calling on you to help us advance our objective one step further. contact our main office 1888-708-3605 Contact us at: www.salpidco.orgHELP REBUILD SIERRA LEONE:

SIERRA LEONE AFTER THE CIVIL WAR:
..
..Lion Mountain Pictures is a new International film production company founded by Ahmed Eddie Bangura in 2005. The founder and his partners have great experience in the film industry. Our goal is to make films that are based on our culture and region. Sierra Leone has gone through difficult time because of the civil war, finally recovering and renaissance. Mr. Bangura hopes to be part of this rebirth by creating jobs in his film production company in Sierra Leonelasting feature of the war, which left some 50,000 dead, was the atrocities committed by the rebels, whose trademark was to hack off the hands of their victims. Legacy of war: Countless people lost limbs to the rebels A UN-backed war crimes court has been set up to try those, from both sides, who bear the greatest responsibility for the brutalities. But the problems of poverty, tribal rivalry and official corruption that caused the war are far from over. The 70,000 former combatants who were disarmed and rehabilitated after the war have swollen the ranks of the many young people seeking employment. Sierra Leone is rich in diamonds. The trade in illicit gems, known as "blood diamonds" for their role in funding conflicts, perpetuated the civil war. The government has attempted to crack down on cross-border diamond trafficking. Diamond exports, and the exploitation of mineral reserves, have helped to bouy the post-conflict economy.
