Founder Chris Lepiorz started his career in the music industry some years ago, working for a well-known event & booking company. He was first assisting on organizing parties and taking care of artists, networking constantly, then focusing on bookings and tour-management to finally work on the reputation of numerous DJs, live-acts and bands worldwide.
The agency was established in 2007 and is located in Berlin-Mitte, the so-called heart of the city. But why Kwakumo? The name relates to Chris' african roots through his other name 'Kwaku'. The ending 'mo' stands for the word 'more', just like more music, more party, more dancing, more soul, more spirit - more than just average! The green logo below is a Ghanaian symbol of versatility, adaptability, initiative and dynamism which reflects the philosophy of Kwakumo Entertainment to the fullest.
For us it's still all about precious house music on one side, but across from that important to have a great variety of talented artists from all other directions as well. The range goes from classical music and jazzy sounds over a folky bridge to a soulful side, right next to disco and funk towards hip-hop and leads to deep house music with a techy touch. At the end it's all about eclectic, soulful quality music! This ia what makes this agency and its network so special as we offer you a large variety of music for all needs: club-nights, festivals, fashion-shows, corporate-events or private parties.
Being connected to a huge number of clubs and promoters throughout the globe, Chris Lepiorz does not only take his clients on a musical journey but also his artists, collecting miles.
