Alexander Caffrey is a Brisbane based, Californian born, Scottish/Irish blooded singer songwriter. Over the past nine years he has been played in a variety of groups, from his first band Polyvinyl which he started with a group of high school friends, he has also been a guest member with Young Eleanor, played live and recorded with Chris Brady, and in 2008 he formed and led Brisbane trio Art Of The State (he also once got to jump on stage with the Gin Club and that makes him stupidly happy)
He is currently spending his days writing and recording new songs for a "solo" release expected to be ready by early 2009, watching zombie and end of the world films, dancing to his own songs and daydreaming about having a few beers with Ryan Adams. He also enjoys making up band names and will have a bunch of new "bands" in the near future.
He also digs animals, and animal documentaries. He don't mind if you laugh.
