Anyone who has been deployed to a combat zone is a hero in my book, and i consider myself fortunate to have crossed paths with so many of them in my life. I may not be friends with them or even like them, but i respect what they have done and where they have been. Combat is at the same time the ugliest and most disgusting thing a person can face in their life, yet the most glorifying moment of their existence. It is in those moments that courage, intellegence, quick thinking, and raw determination separate the men from the boys, and only the men make it back alive.
