The story behind the name:
When Ray Charles would take stage there was a point in one of his brutal songs where he would play so slow that it wouldn't register on a metronome. His band couldn't count when to play, so they would watch his foot tap the floor.
Make sure and check back with us. We'll be adding stuff frequently as to get our music out there for your ears.
Dubbed "The hardest working band in Cookeville", Ray Charles Death Tempo definitely gives everything they have when it comes to writing and performing. The band is trying to break out of the music norm of chugga chugga squeal with a mix of polyrythms and off the wall transitions, but that's for you to decide. The band is comprised of dudes who have learned how to work together to achieve the sound they've been searching for. Everyone is excited about the future and has the determination to be more than "in a band". We are music fans and brothers. Come talk to us, we love meeting new people and we are super easy to get along with.
