About Me

i'm usually the fly on the wall in any established situation. I like to write; i like to listen. I like to wander and get lost and find my way. Not necessarily in that order. i enjoy an inebriated state from time to time. my top cocktails of choice include godfathers, rusty nails, cuba libres or a well made gimlet. i like style, art, crazy head trips and good grammar.
i prefer intelligence and wit over good looks. i'm obsessive about hand washing and moisturizing. i like order; i like chaos (maybe the latter a little more). i like short sentences and semicolons. I also like music and am eternally grateful to my friends for introducing me to their music which I can now claim as my own. (/snicker) I like to cook. I don't like to clean. I like to tell jokes. I am not easily offended but I am careful to not offend.
i've been told i know a little too much about the geek and gaming culture. i dont know if this is a fault or not.
Einstein was wrong! I'm the speed of LIGHT cracking through shivery atoms and GOD the sky whirls and whithers like a melting RAINBOW!

one perfectly and clearly erudite, imbued with exquisite, subtle and elegant knowledge, steeped in the revolutionary science of the cosmos.

Music:

Movies:

Any John Cusak movie prior to 2000 especially High Fidelity, Better off Dead, and oh! he was really cute in Stand By Me even though he didn't have a major part.

Days of Wine and Roses, Jack Lemmon is GENIOUS in that. The Apartment, best line Jack Lemmon says to Shirly MacLaine "your mirror is broken." to which she replies "I know, it matches the way i feel."

Labrynth, All of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, including Freddy VS Jason. Hell Raiser, Leon the Professional, V For Vendetta, Beautiful Girls - really almost anything involving Natalie Portman, Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Amelie, Donnie Darko, BARFLY!!! Notorious, Battle Royale, Kikujiro, Princess Mononoke, Akira, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell and The Last Unicorn. ... and Ghost Busters, because damnit it was good!

I also spend a generous amount of time watching history and geography documentaries. it's kinda nerdy, and it's certainly not as cool as those government conspiracy docs that are so pop-culture right now.
