About Me
Well let's see... I have a little girl named Marlie Ryan that rocks my socks off, and I'm cool with that, I dig flip-flops anyway! She's about 16 months now, and she is all over the place. I don't know where she get's it from (yeah right) but it's awesome! I'm a brand new dad, so everyday is a learning experience.... for her and me. She talks all the time now, and she lets me know what she likes and does not. I'm back home in Elzabeth City again after spending 5 plus years in Raleigh NC. Although EC is not a happening place, my family and friends keep it interesting; I've never been one to sit around and wait for something to happen anyway, so we're always into something. My passion is music. I've been rockin' out as long as I can remember, except for when I was little.. I liked Barry Manilow. But my brothers kept calling him "fairy fagalow," so I started listening to ACDC and all kinds of shit like that. I remember getting off the school bus at the end of every year and hearing "School's Out" by Alice Cooper blaring from these enormous speakers on our front porch! Those were the days. Even though my brothers aren't musicians, they're probably my biggest influences. Steve, my oldest brother introduced me to Ozzy, Kiss, Alice Cooper, bla bla..., and Patrick showed me the Beatles. What else can I say but "Thanks fella's!" I've been married for..... ever, it seems. Abbey and I were together for 7 years before we got married, and most of the time we can hang without a shoe being thrown in my direction (which is good because she has some heavy shoes). I still jam my ass off with my band "Further Adieu", check us out. We've been playing together off and on for about 12 years, and minus a punch or two, we still get along and like each other. We've recently been getting lots of publicity through the local paper, some air time on about 3 different stations and Playing places like the NorVa (recently voted top 5 music venues in the nation by Rolling Stone). It's a tough gig to keep together, but it's like my fountain of youth, so it's worth it. Growing old is fine, but acting and feeling old....... Well, I'm putting it off as long as I can. Stay gold!
