Pre Acquiescent Remorse
Specimens in need of revenge (S.I.N.O.R.) saw it's roots in the 2000 when Dark Disciple (Kelvin Robinson) purchased a Gibson gothic explorer and started playing with Naiad (Dillon Kuhlman). We had little knowledge of our instruments at that time however we did like to express ourselves with them.
As time passed we got a bass player (Ryan Byerly) and another guitarst (Brock Ryner). Brock came up with a great name to label our work together, " Hells Reign" so we adopted it and it became our new band identity. We also had a short lived vocalist Gabriel who was in a band prior named As I Decay. This project did not work so over time we went back to our original name S.I.N.O.R. Now it was just Dillon and I again.
Eventually we found a vocalist , Shitzu (Jacob Reiley), he was actually a friend of old and the one who introduced to myself, Dark Disciple, to the metal scene. His brutal vocal cords worked well with our bad ass sound. This colllaboration continues to this day and it grows more ba dace dace, (bad ass) by the second.
Our bands sound, vision, and purpose is heavily influenced by philosophy, psychology, politics, religion, and metaphysics. If you listen to our music you better be open minded lest you get offended and butt hurt. But if you do get offended it is because you are not looking at the metaphorical lesson behind the music and this further proves the point that you can't judge a book or a band by there " cover" and that you should study us more before making a judgment. Take for example the song "Mass Murderer", it is not about a person who kills out of revenge alot, it is about how all the mainstream religions fail to teach the truest form of spirtuality that makes people spirit so they need not reincarnate continuosly. These religions are murdering people life after life by with holding from the mass's true spiritual knowledge. We expose the negative aspects of controlled goverment and religion. We talk about the inherent holiness in all of us. we talk about all the horrible illusions and lies that this world has to spoon feed us, untill our return to the spirit world. The name Specimens In Need Of Revenge is based off the idea of nature and nuture. We our heavily influenced by everything around us even more so by that which we are unaware of. For this reason you, me, and everyone you know has at one point been a "specimen". When a person goes through the process of self actualization and realizes how they are affected by these factors of nature they can truly be who they want to be by nurturng themselves to a that said state. This is the revenge. Not following the status quo. Not being a dumb blind sheep. So I ask you friend are you a part of the Specimens In need Of Revenge?
