Reviews

"....Riding on the cusp of a new wave of electronic indie rock comes Liverpool five piece, The Frustration. Still unsigned, but with a whole host of explicit demos ready to be waved under record labels noses it won't take too long to be acquired. Forefront tracks like Frustration give a clear definition of the term "scuzz rock". With its stop, start mechanism, the synths and effects are left to find a space where they can fit into the song without disrupting the bludgeoning guitar riffs. Band Members: K.Walker - Guitar Vox J.Smith - Guitar Vox S.Trimby - Bass M.Tipping - Synth A.Gandhi - Drums
Influences: Interpol,The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, The White Stripes, Placebo, Death From Above 1979, Incubus, The Chemical Brothers
Sounds Like: A mixture of electrical explosions with a pumping, driving rhythm secting and lyrics about problems you get in that limbo stage in your 20's. The synth adds the icing on this chemical cake and the completed ensamble is reminisant of a modern take on classic 80's and 90's electro punk.
