Yonder North

About Me

"Blending simple rock and folk tunes with heavy instrumentation, Yonder North is definitely something new for the Upstate. David Fink (Lead Singer) and Daniel Tapp (Percussion) have been writing music together for years, inspired by musicians like Fleet Foxes, Coconut Records and Dr. Dog. Daniel has been playing in bands for years and draws from his experiences with many musicians. David is also a very experienced musician and poet, pulling sounds and images into his work from his time he spent living in Eastern Europe. Together they have worked to bring something new to the indie music scene in Greenville, SC, hoping to encourage others to take local music seriously. While the band's goal is to write classic songs that relate to everyone, they don't shy away from a little highbrow orchestration. Anna Fink (Keyboard) and Laura Koelle (Cello and Violin) are both classically trained musicians and bring a full sound and sense of sophistication to each song. The band's newest member and lead guitarist, Johnny Thunder, fills the final gap that the group has been looking for, bringing energy and creativity the band's music."
