Jayd Raines was exposed to the wonderful sounds of bluegrass music at a very early age. Living in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, he was constantly surrounded by the sounds of the guitar, banjo, and fiddle by his father, grandpa, and great grandpa. When his father got Jayd his first guitar at the young age of seven, Jayd naturally caught the bug. By the time he was twelve, he had became suprisingly impressive at both rythm and lead picking on the guitar. A few years later his musical curiosity lead him to develop his talents at other instruments such as the banjo, mandolin, and bass. Jayds abilities as a multi-instrumentalist enabled him the opportunity to have many positions in local bands. Since 2008 Jayd has been a significant part of Marty Raybon and Full Circle playing the bass and singing harmony vocals.Jayd has had the great privilege of playing with many great musicians and bluegrass legends. He has shared the stage with Kenny Baker, Josh Graves, Wayne Fields, Paul Williams, and his long time hero JD Crowe. Jayd has also worked with Don Rigsby, as well the Morehead State University Bluegrass Band.Jayd is currently working on his solo project "Cried Again". This album will feature many of Jayd's friends including John Rigsby, Scott Napier, Marty Raybon, Jerrod Childers, Glenn Gibson, and Booie Beach. This CD is scheduled to be released in early December. Jayd plays Gibson Banjos, Fender Basses, Mike Long Guitars, and is endorsed by GHS Strings and Intellitouch Tuners...
