About Me

As I sit here looking blankly at the screen wondering what I should write here, it became apparent that I should just write about the things that are most important to me. Those things, coincidently, define who we are and the basis on which we live our lives. So here goes nothing...
First and foremost, but in no particular order, I am a Christian. I might not always be the best example of one, but deep down, there is something brewing in me that demands greatness in the eyes of the Lord. One day, when I am ready and God is ready to use me, He will let me know. Until then, I can only hope and strive to become that person is an open vessel to what He desires in me.
Next up would be my display name. It generally known as my alias. Not a lot of people know about it, but now it's out there. Enjoy. The story of this name is something that could be related to the last paragraph. If you notice, all the letters are capitalized except the "i's." This signifies that if I keep all others lifted up and put their interests above my own, then ultimatly, nothing can hold me down. Hence "antigravity." I do believe that good deeds do not go unrewarded. Either this life or in the next, the things that you do, good or bad, always have an affect on someone or something.
My current job title is that of a "Bartender." Yeah, I know, not much has changed, but soon it will. Although I do enjoy what I do, is it not the type of job that I want to hold the rest of my life. I am always on the lookout to find a place in "the industry."
"What industry," you may ask. The game and simulation industry. I am currently seeking my bachelors degree in Video Game Programming and Simulation. I love it. Although there are trying times, I am not going to give up. Too many things in my life I have given up on and this is not going to be one of them. I am going to get my bachelors (and be the first in my family to do it) and I am going to better my life and my families'.
On another note, I am a very independent person. For all of you that know me, you don't know a LOT about me. There are certain people in this world that do know me to about 90% of who I really am. But those are a choosen few. I don't do this on purpose, it's just the way I am. Few people get to that point with me and thats just life. Sorry. Like I said, I am very independent and can survive on my own.
As far as how this works into how I deal with people and my relationships...I am capable of love. In fact, I am in love, but I am not in a relationship. That's pretty much all you need to know. Isn't love great?!
I pretty much think that is all about me. I have interests and hobbies and such, but you can learn about them in their respective sections.

Music:

I am one of those people that when they say "I like everything but country music," I really mean it. I really do have just about everything you can think of in my CD/MP3 collection, and I listen to it a lot. Bands ranging from Punk, Jazz, Techno (and all the many genres that encompasses now), Rap, R&B, Rock, Top 40, Hip-Hop, Dance, Motown (and the likes), Instrumental, Opera (I will admit, I don't have a lot), Hardcore, Southern Rock, Funk, Reggae, Latin, Salsa, and Reggaton. I'm sure I left out some things....I also like to dance to just about all of those...less the instrumental and opera. hehe

Movies:

Hook, The Neverending Story, Any 80's Movie, Truman Show, Fight Club, Snatch, Kung-Fu Hustle, Ong-Bak, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, stuff like that.

Television:

Scrubs, Lost, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, The First 48 Hours, Tech TV (R.I.P.).

Books:

Currently Reading: The Bible and The Game Producers Handbook.

Heroes:

I've been known as Superman my entire teenage to adult life, so I can't neglect to mention Superman. But I don't really relate to him. I think my hero is my dad. I never thought I would say that over like 5 years ago. But I have put some years on me and learned some things not only by listening to him, but just watching him. I envy his relationship with his wife, his financial stability, and knowledge.
On the other hand, my mother is my hero. I know that she feels like a failure in some retrospects, but what she fails to realize is that she completly raised a child while holding down a full time job. This by today's standards isn't that uncommon, but 20 years ago, it wasn't that common. My mother taught me what it was like to be in the worst of times and still be positive. I remember helping her roll pennies just so that she could have money to get gas with. Growing up was tough, I'm not going to lie. I moved many, many, many times. It wasn't always easy being the new kid. Everyone likes to pick on you and you really never get to fit in with a crowd. But my mother was always there. Growing up she was my best friend. She wasn't afraid to talk about finances or anything she was feeling or worried about. Although that forced me to grow up faster than I wanted, it gave me an appreciation for honesty and what it was like to be independent and having to make it on your own. My mother is an amazing woman. She still continues to let me be her "baby" to this day. :-)
Although very different, are both my heroes. My mother and father have done a very good job raising me under the circumstances under which they had, and I think they did a good job.
