About Me

Real R&B is long overdue, music lovers are voicing their need for a true Artist that has a sustainable sound of Soulafied R&B and Gospel with a hint of Hip-Hop to feed their soul. Darryl Moore’s music defines the direction of where R&B is supposed to be. Darryl Moore” a.k.a “Dmoe” was born in Southern, California. Darryl began his musical career at the tender age of five, where he led the “Sunshine Band Choir” for his hometown church. Ever since then he hasn’t put down a microphone, and ever since then his soulful sound have inspired people everywhere. Darryl took his talent to a new height, becoming the only Soul singer in an all Hip-Hop group referred to as “Street Poets". Darryl later joined a gospel choir V.O.S (Voices of Sacramento) directed by James Jackson. Darryl got his big lead when he led the choir in a song titled “Dear Jesus.” From there Darryl decided to go on a solo mission, where he hooked up with producer Ivan Johnson and started writing and recording tracks. One of the first solo tracks Darryl composed was “Pankakin” which instantly became a hit on Sacramento’s hottest R&B Station 102.5 KSFM. In the summer of 2006 Darryl hooked up with platinum musician Derek “D.O.A” Allen. Darryl recorded the hook for Hip-Hop artist Gorilla Zoe “Life of a Hustla”. After the Gorilla Zoe hit Darryl went back into the studio with D.O.A to start recording his first complete solo album. One of the tracks got more local exposure and became a song in running rotation, this song was titled “She’s My Everything,” a song he had wrote and composed for his mother. Darryl then recorded a song written with Cliff West, whom is the brother of the honorable Dr.Cornel West titled “Soul Sista.” The track can be heard on the album “Never Forget a Journey of Street Revelations;” with some of the artists featured on the album including Prince, Andre 3000, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott and the great late Gerald Levert, and among many others. Darryl has been in the studio for a while, perfecting his upcoming album, but he’s ready to step out and show the world his soul, his talent, and his voice. His lyrics are real, his voice is unforgettable, and his sound is nothing less than unique. Darryl is not a phase, he is a lasting impression with a voice that will live on and be recognized with the greats like the artists he has been compared to. He is R&B, He is Gospel, He is Soul ..
