MUFON stands for Mutual UFO Network. It consists of consultants, researchers, and investigaters from all over working together for one purpose. We are a local chapter of this organization here in Memphis and the surrounding area. Their mission, as well as ours, is the scientific study of UFO's for the benefit of humanity through investigation, research, and education. Don't miss the MUFON 39th International UFO Symposium to be held July 24 - 27, 2008 at the Doubletree Hotel San Jose, New Mexico.Mufon's new Strike Team for Area Research(STAR) is their new rapid response force. They are members who can be called at a moment's notice to diploy to the scene of a signifigant UFO event to collect immediate data from the witnesses and the scene. Also, if anyone is interested in doing local field investigating, please contact us and we will tell you how to get a training manual.THE JERSEY DEVIL~The Most Recent Sightings~~On February 25th, a student at Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River sees a strange winged creature perched on top of a building at dusk. On March 16th, a woman sees a very large creature with red-orange eyes flying out of the woods while driving on the Garden State Parkway near mile 19 in Seaville. Also this same day, a woman sees a grey creature with thin hind legs in the shadows of her backyard in Philadelphia, PA.
