The Misnomers

About Me

The Misnomers are a band. They recorded their first song together (Simon’s Nuts) a while back and had a good laugh. They thought about being the Breast Petals, but got too embarrassed and on the train down to San Diego had the idea of the name The Misnomers, and it’s stuck. In fact, everything they record goes under that name, even if it’s just one of us. It’s just easier. They went to school together in San Diego, and have been best friends ever since. They played their first gig at Theatre Of Note’s performance Marathon a few years ago, and it was great! Not that they were great, but the audience was and the experience was. That’s where the live recording of Whiskey & Beer comes from, by the way. There was a false start (or two) because someone kept forgetting the lyrics. Then they played the song at double speed because of nerves. They’ve recorded a few other songs together and will post them on this site and rotate them around. That’s all for now. Questions? Comments? Want an mp3 of the Misnomers? Leave a message... I’ll call you back.
