The Solution

The Solution is...... songs, pure and simple, Melody, structure, & arrangement. They hail from Vancouver, British Columbia, and have a sound that's been described as "the classic rock of the future." Their songwriting has been compared to such diverse and great artists as "The Pixies", "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers", "Beck" and "Coldplay." The 5 piece group consists of two brothers, Josh (guitar/ vox) & Joe (drums), their cousin Matt (vox), two life long friends Jason (bass), Ryan (keys).
Discovering their passion for music at the young age of four, brothers Josh and Jonas spent most of their childhood experimenting with various types of instruments as well as songwriting. With a wide range of influences the band has set themselves up to create a “southern-surf” rock style of music.
“The Solution” was formed in 2003 following the demise of their band “Phantom 309”, (Josh, Jonas, Jason, Ryan) a Vancouver surf instrumental band, which derived from the group’s interest in surfing. Joining the band as lead vocalist, Matt Lebedoff’s influence has been well received. Not only has he contributed vocally with his strong and clear voice purifying the songs, but he has also contributed onstage providing a mesmerizing stage presence.
The band’s touring highlights include opening for The Offspring, Gob, Billy Talent, Finger Eleven & Thornley.
