I started life in Bristol, England, which is down in the Delta, the Deep South, where chickens swarm and bees tweet. Moving north in the 1970s I found a home in the south of Manchester, where students flock and chickens kebab. Since then, writing books has been my hobby, but why should I suffer in silence?
