About Me

Let's see, I am 28 years old and I recieved my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts through Granite State College in June of 2007, and I am working on my Bachelors in Child & Family Studies, also from Granite State. When I'm done, I will be Special Education certified and I will also be able to work on my Teacher Cetification for regular classrooms. What else? I am the youngest of nine children. I have one sister who is the oldest, and there are seven boys between us. We all have the same mom and dad. My parents were married in 1956. My dad died of cancer when I was 16, and I miss him greatly.I live in the middle of nowhere in northern New Hampshire and I absolutely love it. Growing up in the country, I have developed a love for nature and the outdoors. I especially like to feed and observe the wild birds. They are such a joy and blessing to have around.I think chickadees are adorable, and my goal for this fall and winter is to make friends with them and have them eating out of my hands. I have attracted many different types of birds at my feeders, many of which are common to this area. The two most notable birds I've seen at my feeders are birds that only showed up once, but each time it was a sheer delight. On october 31st, 2006 I had a beautiful male cardinal at one of the feeders. Then earlier this spring (I don't recall the exact date, but I should have marked it down, it would be a key to their migratory patterns...) I had a male red winged black bird.I adore those birds, and I was so glad to see him there. Like David Francey sings in his song Red Winged Blackbird "every time I hear him singing, makes me feel like spring inside".Also over the summer at the AMC, I was over cleaning the volunteer spaces and I happened to glance over at one of the trees. And there it was, just a few feet in front of me. A Cedar Waxwing -- a bird i've wanted to see "in person" for a long time...that was a joy and a treat, indeed!!I love birds, and I can't wait to have a bird unit in my classroom. I also really like Monarch Butterflies and every year I raise and release them as a personal hobby. It is something that my father and I did when I was smaller and now it is a way to keep his memory alive. Some of my other hobbies are reading, writing, photography, drawing, sign language, and listening to music, among other things.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Bailey Morgan Dube, my neice who passed away before I got to know her. And I'd love to see my dad again as well as Grammie & Grandpa Bill.
