You may recognize Charlie’s name, Charlie Romero, from his smash hit “My name is Charlie Romero, It’s Time to Conquer Earth.†Hailing from East Los Angeles, a small quiet town situated east of Los Angeles, Charlie found himself surrounded by colors. Colors are very important in East LA.
Charlie did reggae once but it wasn’t really his thing so then he joined a band. That didn’t really pan out either, as they had a falling out---something to do with colors. He decided to be a pop star. He learned three chords on the guitar and took a couple piano lessons and now he does the pop. Color is ‘muy importante’ in pop. Charlie’s music deals with difficult world issues relative to our modern times, with lyrical subjects ranging from local gossip and getting your colors right, to peer pressure and prison break-ups.
Then there’s fashion. “My grandma had the perfect ‘80s leather jacket, but took it back to Mexico with her, that bitch, when she died, so I never got to wear it. Color is very important in fashion,†Charlie often proclaims.
Charlie likes the make-up, color is very important in make-up.
Charlie’s advices:
1) Just be yourself
2) Throw on a little glitter and, um…
3) Don’t dream it, be it.
All proceeds from Charlie’s first single, “Jump†(now available on iTunes), will be donated to tranny hookers.
