About Me

During his studies with Jeff Boudreaux and Bruce Becker at the American Institute of Music Vienna he became strongly influenced by New Orleans second line and funk grooves. He further studied jazz-drums and composition at the conservatory in Vienna with (to name a few) Peter Gabis, Wolfgang Dorer, Georg Edlinger, Dieter Herfert, Andi Weiss...
He has played in a variety of musical situations, grooving in jazz and cover bands, even worked as a pit drummer for musical productions. He played with bands like Komodowaran, It's, Extended Komodowaran, Spaced Out, Die Pe*rle Buam, Tina Zormandan Quintett or The Rhythm'n'Brass Project. Further he worked at different occasions with Sultans of Swing, Trio Nonstop, Chris Heart, The Bees, Rita Gaebelein, Eva Wannerer, Karina Ashurov, Harry Pierron, Albert Reifert, Roland Lensch, Franz Grießler, Willi Wltschek Jr.
Since his graduation at A.I.M. 1996 he is working as a drum instructor in Lower Austria and has been teaching jazz drums and rhythm class in Vienna at the Franz Schubert Konservatorium.
