soundsketchbook is an ongoing sound-mailart project between missesfree and other international soundartists.
instructions:
the soundsketchbook contains a personal CD for every artists who had been invited to take part at this project. the CD contains 10-15 samples for you to use for your soundsketchbook-track. please use only the samples you recived.
you can use as much of them as you like, but please don..t use any others !
use them as rawmaterial and feel free to transform and to edit them in any way you want.
your finished composition should be round about 1-7 minutes long.
please add its title and duration to the list in the book.
please copy it to the second (empty) CD you recived and also add 10-15 samples in return from your personal collection, for example your own field-recordings etc. or feel free to make some new special soundsketchbook-samples-recordings !
furthermore somehow document your process in the soundsketchbook, for example make some drawings, write some notes, include photos or add flyers from concerts. you also can add articles, flyers or notes about artists or other stuff that inspires you. feel free to fill the pages !!!
when the soundsketchbook returned I will start to work on my track by using the samples you sent me in return and I also will document the process in the book. when I am finished I will add both tracks to the myspace-site and keep them there for round about 4-6 weeks while the soundsketchbook already is on its way to another participant…
the goal is to produce a double CD after soundsketchbook travelled to 10-15 different places. CD one will include the tracks from all the different international artists who took part at this project and CD two will include the tracks that I made with the samples I recived in return.
