THE IRRADIATES are four brothers, a product of the star-crossed encounter of a guitarist father and astrophysicist mother. The four of them, now all researchers unravelling the cosmic mysteries, left aboard a space vessel in search of a sidereal material which hypothetically possesses the power to improve musical performance capacities. While taking samples, they were struck by burning green radiation emitted from a still unidentified planet in the solar system. Upon their return to earth in the spring of 2007, they were immediately locked in a decontamination unit. It was there that they began their latest experiment. What would result if they took up their respective instruments and passed 10surf songs through a radioactive filter?
THE IRRADIATES sont quatre frères, issus de la rencontre entre un père guitariste et une mère astrophysicienne. Tous les quatre sont chercheurs en astrophysique et sont partis ensemble à bord d'un vaisseau spatial à la recherche d'une matière sidérale supposée améliorer les performances de leur musique. Alors qu'ils effectuaient des prélèvements, ils ont été contaminés par les radiations vertes et brûlantes d'une planète jusqu'alors jamais repérée dans le système solaire. De retour sur terre au printemps 2007, ils se sont enfermés dans un caisson de mise en quarantaine et se sont mis en tête d'empoigner leurs instruments pour revisiter 10 morceaux de surf en les passant au crible nucléaire. First radiations, leur premier album devrait traverser la stratosphère au printemps 2008. Composé de Dick "Irradiate" Den's (MunkyPosse, Hawaii Samurai, Run of Lava), Guig's Irradiate (The Ronnie Rockets), Macst Irradiate (Black Summertime) et Buanax Irradiate (Hawaii Samurai, The Ronnie Rockets), THE IRRADIATES balancent un surf instrumental énergique, musclé et radioactif. Bien décidés à irradier l'univers de leurs morceaux, ils risquent de venir faire quelques expériences sonores vers chez vous.
