2008 horrific filmfest zombie walk from The Darkness on Vimeo .The Horrific Film Fest was established in order to give more opportunities and exposure to independent filmmakers from around the world. Working with horror, horror/comedy, thriller, and suspense, filmmaker George L. Ortiz (Ortiz Entertainment; The House Of The Demon) and Jaime Becerril (Bec Sky Creations), joined forces in 2007 to bring this event to San Antonio, Texas. “Our goal is to bring tourism to the San Antonio area and attract filmmakers from around the world.” The filmmakers that are accepted into The Horrific Film Fest compete for awards such as best feature, best SFX, best actor, best actress, best short film, etc.The concept for The Horrific Film Fest trophy was designed by The Darkness and created by George L. Ortiz.
