About Me

I play the drums in Disquiet....I am from New Zealand, I live in Boston, MA with my wife. I am currently studying drums under Tony Noterfonzo - Berklee tutor. This page is my connection to the band - so not a lot about my personal life will be posted here...These are my favourite drummers. I listen to these guys for inspiration: John Bonham, Danny Carey, Mike Bordin, Dave Silveria, Steve Smith, Stewart Copeland, Dino Campanella, Matt Cameron, Lars Ulrich, Dave Grohl, Tim Alexander, Brain, Jimmy Chamberlin. As you can see - all HEAVY hitters. When I play, I pour my heart and soul into it. I have been playing the guitar as long as I have the drums (17 years). But, to me the drums are the only instrument that you can show the feeling of the music moving through you. I'm not locked to anything. I move with the music and express myself that way. I yell and scream behind there. I pull faces. Whatever it takes to play.....These are some of the venues I have played in:Paradise Rock Club (Boston) Middle East Upstairs Bar (Boston) Middle East Downstairs Bar (Boston) Harpers Ferry (Boston) Abbey Lounge (Boston) Midway Cafe (Boston) TT The Bears Place (Boston) Luna Lounge (Brooklyn, NYC) Living Room (Providence, RI)SO - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR....BUY OUR TRACKS!!!:

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet all of those drummers. I guess I would especially like to meet John Bonham. But he is dead! That guy's playing sums up what I have been trying to emulate since I first touched the drums when I was 13. The way he sits behind the beat and kills the groove. I used to sit there when I was like 13 - just mesmerized by his high-hats. I thought they were another drum! Listen to Physical Graffiti - you'll hear it!Anyway - I did meet Jimmy Page - twice! He summed up John Bonham's playing when he said "he was so innovative". That's how I listen to him now. He INVENTED this stuff. Everything that came after is futile. We all just try to get close to something that came so natural to him. Whether we're fans or not!I think I have met the people I'd like to meet: Jeff Buckley and Jimmy Page. I think if I had to pin-point the two people in my life that have affected me the most musically - it's those two.
