Born in Beirut, Lebanon, I moved to the US when I was 5. Im not quite Lebanese and not quite American, Im somewhere close to the middle designing for american eagle outfitters, wondering how on earth i landed this great job. After I was born I went a little over a week without a name because my parents couldnt decide whether to call me Chris or Melcar. Finally landing on Kayan, my name means existence... literally. So my name isnt really a name, its a noun they found in the K section of the dictionary because all the names of the members of my family have to start with the sound K. The name Moussoba, my last name, originates from a guy who was born with his webbed fingers. Because everyone knew him solely as the man with the hand disposition he changed his last name from Zarahne to Moussoba, which yes, literally mean fingers stuck together. So to recap, Im culturally challenged aspiring to be famous and my name literally means, Existence Fingers Stuck Together.
