TAINADA

About Me

We got a mix of members from the KRAYS, U.F.C, ZOMBIE VANDALS, (new)RADICTS... Tainada is a Reality Punk band. We wanted to start a project that had some new vibe, new meaning, and alot of heart, We wanted to have our lyrics and ideas speak strongly, and be a band that tries to say something with our voices. Plus we wanted it to be something that brings together a bunch of friend, to bounce new ideas around and see what we found in the process. We named the band TAINADA. It was a name I had made up with an old friend of mine a few years back. It was inspired by the name of a native people called the Tainos, (from the carribean) Tai - for the Taino, and nada, because it's a made up word and basically it doesn't mean anything. We're trying to create the best songs we can collectively come up with, and put into them as much heart and soul as we can. Alot of the lyrics so far have be inspired from a book I read titled "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee". A very sad book detailing the savage way the west was ripped away from the Native Americans. "The Dying Cold", "Sour Ground" and "The Attack" are directly written from my feelings after reading that book. I don't assume to be that knowledgeable in the subject, basically you'd have to find out for more for yourselves what that is all about and how it relates and is relative to today. I think the vibe and meaning of the band originate from that sad tale and gave the writing of the lyrics a purpose, though I'm not sure what that is. Atleast it was the sparking point for much of what I have written lyrically so far. Enjoy, Johnny and Tainada..................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................TAINADA -THE ATTACK
