Uncle Aleister's Rock N Roll Revival began as an expression of friendship in the spring of 2007. Three new friends gathered in a basement to dust off some speakers and double down on some massive riffs. Just for fun.
The jams continued while the guys were creating albums and touring with their other bands... Justin Chatelain with The Oxford Farm Report and Dave Angstrom with Hermano. An impromptu jam with friend and drummer Sam Rhodus created a massive new sound for UARRR. Original drummer Josh Flowers moved to guitar to add some vibe, but the band ultimately shifted back into the mighty 3-piece monster in the Spring of 2008. The sound was "fucking killer" and the three were ready for a full-on revival.
Uncle Aleister's Rock N Roll Revival is currently writing songs, completing demos, tweaking guitars, having fun, hunting down distortion pedals, talking about music, working on massive tones, checking out vintage kits, listening to records, hanging out and playing a few shows. They may put out a record, they may not. ...ok, they probably will. They may play more shows, they may not. (yea - they definitely will be blowing up some clubs around KY for fun!) No promises ...other than the fact that Justin, Dave and Sam will be all-out in whatever wonder the revival brings.
