DinoFight!

About Me

One hundred and thirty six million years ago (during the Jurassic period) dinosaurs ruled the earth and out of the chaos came the band DinoFight! However, they would not fully form until 2007 A.D. The combination of Dinosaurs, Aliens, Zombies and Werewolves were enough to shock, amaze, and tantalize the masses (at least in the STL). So much to were at the end of 2009 the band took a new turn, changing up the full on female entourage to add in a male. As of 2010 this three piece combination of awesome and rock was so great that the band decided extinction was out of the question and would continue to play music for those that would listen… until the next ice age that is.
Review of DinoFight!s show at Lemmons from June 2009
"A band like DinoFight! is on reason people should be going to local shows. They are an all female three piece with a very peculiar and intriguing sense of humor. Their music was good; especially impressive was guitarist Lindsay Cranmer who led the band in genre hopping music forays. DinoFight! played a little bit of noise, punk, pop, and hard rock in their 8 song set, combining elements in each of their songs. Vocalist Core Perkins provided stellar vocals and witty banter between songs. Especially impressive to me, as a guy who has worn a crocheted penis and sung about transvestites and bestiality, were the humorous lyrics. "David Kessler's Revenge" is a song about eating someones face and "Angry Inch" is a cover from the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. "Angry Inch" absolutely must be heard live, very funny stuff. I really dug the set, and after reviewing two other female groups in previous weeks, ...[including] the 75's, I left Lemmons wanting to put on a Muumuu, tape the penis down, and start a new band, Tape Job and the Imaginary Vajayjay. DinoFight! is busy recording there first record, but you can see them at the Way Out Club on August 28th, and you can here them at myspace.com/dinofightstl. I can't recommend this band enough, and I can't wait to do a show with them sometime". - Matt Pachmayr of the St. Louis Sinner, July edition 2009.
