OK, for fun, I thought it would be cool to gather up all the Denise's on My Space. I'm just a normal person, married with kids, named Denise and I have always considered my name uncommon at best, at least in the USA! (I was almost named a common, boring name, so thank GOD my Dad didn't like it!.
One very important note. You don't have to worry about spam, or anything of the likes! I am only doing this for FUN and that's all. The purpose of my quest is to prove to the world that our name is too cool! Years ago our parent made the best decision in the world. We are beautiful, wonderful and proud of our name. The girl's name Denise ..d(e)-ni-se.. is pronounced de-NEES. It is of French origin, and its meaning is "follower of Dionysius". Feminine form of Dennis, from the Greek name Dionysius. There is an ancient Latin form of the name, Dionysia, but this variant dates back only to the 1920s.
I also once read that Denise is the Godess of Wine. How cool is that!
Sometimes we are called Deanna or Diane, but of course correct the confused person, as we are Denise!
