About Me

Bournemouth based celtic band, specialising in traditional Irish music , ceilidhs and general good craic!We perform a good selection of traditional and contemporary Irish music - tunes to dance to and songs to sing along with. If you don’t know the dances, our caller will teach you. If you don’t know the songs, just tap your feet and clap your hands!
We also perform a range of Scottish tunes and songs to compliment our Celtic feel.

Band Members: Noeleen – Guitar, vocals, bodhran, whistles. Alex – Bass guitar, guitar, vocals. Gill – Sonic Fiddle Richard – Accordion Julian – Caller,bodhran.And others as required!!
Influences: Between all of us, too many to mention all of them. We have influences across the musical spectrum Noel's and Al's would include from the folk/roots world Oysterband, Shooglenifty, Christy Moore, Peatbog Faeries, Mary Black, Capercaillie, Altan etc as well as mainstream (ie chart) influences and up and coming singer/songwriters.
Gill's likes most traditional and modern folk, influences are Mike McGoldrick, Sharron Shannon and Altan to name a few. She loves Jigs particularly!
Richard just likes music, from Classical, through Eastern European to Klezmer and Operatic genres. He has a wealth of knowledge on the subject and at folk clubs we have heard him perform from from across the spectrum including from his daughters pop/rock cd collection

Ez folk ia a website similar to MySpace but is designed for artists, singers, tunesmiths etc to be heard. It has a wide choice of genres to chose from, so take a visit and enjoy the experience that is music under the 'Folk' Umbrella.
