My dad’s Life StoryStanley Royce Michielsen
September 9, 1952-November 20, 2006Stan was born September 9, 1952 to Joseph Michielsen and Mary Alice March Michelsen. He was the youngest child of seven. Stan grew up in Calhoun and Branch County areas his whole life. At the age of 15, he meet his childhood sweet heart. A young women by the name of Mary Johnston who he met through his brother David and her best friend Denise Hite, at midway roller rink where he spent most his spare time. Stan married Mary on August 14, 1971 and live in their home at Sonoma Lake for 25 years and raise their two children. On the 17th of November their daughter Traci was born 4 years later on the 18th of May their son Timothy would be born. Stan started working at a young age where he put in some time at the Sack riders Farms. He also worked at the Battle creek Foundry until the day the closed. Sometime later he would start a GME where he retired as a Assembly Forman.Stan lost many family members before he himself took that walk on the golden streets. First his father then his sister Carol Michielsen Copas then his brother Joseph and brother William Michielsen. Then his mother and Sister Rosemary Michielsen Casey. Stan at the age of 42 gave his daughters hand in marriage to his much loved son in law Chad Richardson. By the time he turned 43 his first granddaughter Mackenzie was born also his son Timothy took his wife Amy Osborn’s hand in marriage. At the the age of 43 his second granddaughter Kiersten was born. At 45 Leandra and at the ago of 47 his last granddaughter Janelle and first grandson Tyler. At the age of 51 his last grandson Collin was born. Stan loved his grandchildren and was a very devoted papa to. Dad will forever be loved and missed by all.Written by
