Attila Da Hun
Born Attila Draviczki has become the fastest rising Dj in the history of the legendary New YorkCity nightclub scene. His passion for music led him to djing and spending countless hours honing his skills and developing his musical direction.
His flawless mixes and unrivalled energy was derived from humble beginnings in London UK at Babushka. (www.styleinthecity.co.uk) Riding off the wave of Babushka's success, he started his own promotion team "Housey Doings" based out of Notting Hill Gate. In 1995, he teamed up with Amato Recordings and promoted the now infamous Sunday afterhours party at Ministry of Sound. It was an immediate success and became an event to see and be seen by the top industry professionals in London's nightlife scene. In August 2003, Attila retuned to his home in Debrecen, Hungary. He opened Genius Bar with partners Gyuszi and Peter. As the Saturday night resident, he stormed the local hungarian club scene spinning soulful disco house, with elements of deep and progressive. It was the first time hungarian club goers were exposed to this sound and it becamed widely accepted. It was at this time that Attila had a chance meeting with Dj Andy Slate. Andy brought a tech-house element to the club, and it led to an instantaneous collaboration.Constantly looking to fuel his musical passions, Attila decided to sell Genius bar and move to New York City. He opened keybar in late 2003 and continued his Saturday night residency. Gaining instant notice from the industry, he began to get booked for elite functions such as the 2003 HBO "Sex And The City" staff party and the Gillette M3 Power Razor launch party honoring special guest and fashion mogul P. Diddy (Bad Boy Records). He is consistently booked by NYC's top promoters and has spun at some of the most prestigious house music venues such as Sullivan Room and the now ledgendary Avalon VIP Spider Room (formerly known as Limelight).Atilla has since played alongside many dj's and musicians including: Carlos Gibbs (www.deephouseproject.com / SF), Supa Dj Dmitri (Ex-Deee-Lite), Dj Dathan (System Recordings / NYC), NYC Remixer Patrick Quade (www.unfoundsound.com), Jed Quinn, Dj Tommy Bones (Kingstreet/Wave / NYC) and Colin Patterson to name a few.In most recent times, he was re-united with Dj Andy Slate (soulmate records) and they are currently collaborating on future projects. Attila continues to represent his unique sound weekly at keybar NYC (www.keybar.com) which is still packed after 3 years. Never forgetting his roots, Attila still utilizes elements of funk, breaks, disco and progressive house in his sets. With such an extensive history in the scene and so many accomplishments under his belt, it’s no surprise that Attila continues to represent as one of the most prime international Dj’s.
