Mark first took an interest in dance music in 1998. He'd been to a few Drum and Bass events and really enjoyed the dance scene, but wanted to experience other types of dance music. He started going to the Country Club in February 2001, and discovered Hard Trance and Techno. Within a few weeks He'd abandoned the other clubs and concentrated on the country club every weekend. It inspired him to get a pair of decks, and by April 2001 he started mixing Hard Trance and Techno. He diligently practiced every day for months, and when he wasn't mixing he was either thinking about it or dreaming about it!He had his first DJ set at Blaze (Beehive) in April 2002. Mark received excellent feedback and was delighted to be asked to produce a demo CD for the place that inspired him - The country club. Within a month he was offered a set there at an 'up and coming DJ's night', and soon had the good fortune to be playing there regularly, as well as for private functions. This positive exposure led to other bookings at various clubs in England and quite a few free parties. His greatest achievements have been playing alongside some of the best DJ's and producers: Uberdruck & The Crow (Uberdruck) A.S.Y.S - Tracid Traxxx (Germany), Trance Generators, (Future Sound Corporation), Tony Burt (Above the sky records), Jay K Walker (Rising High records/Bulletproof etc.), Mark E G (Blackout Audio), Ben Eye and Log:one (Uberdruck), Jon the Baptist (The Elite), Daniel Maker & Cyaen (Gas records, Italy), K90 (urban anthems), Dave the Drummer (S.U.F) Nick the Kid (Hindsight), Sharky, Ribbz, Vortex, Clarkee, Scorpio, Organ Doners, Major Tom, Wragg and many other top quality DJ's.Mark has / has had a few residences across England and has played at many top clubs; Diverse Vision (Atmosphere) - Grove, Blink - Seaton, Subbterrania - Exeter, Trilogy - Bournemouth, Blaze - Beehive, Chemical Element - Bridport, Premonition - Candy Store, Country Club - Evershot, Emporium (Religion) - Coalville, The Wharf (Koruption) & Life - Taunton, North - Lakota, GBH - depot and club Aura, Hindsight - St. Georges Hall and Unity Records - Matrix, Exmouth and Volts to name a few!Mark thoroughly enjoyed working in the dance scene at weekends and wanted to open a record shop as his love for the music is always growing. He opened a shop called 'Technotice' in Exeter in 2003 specialising in all genres of underground dance music and other DJ equipment, and has now launched the Technotice website!Since Mark started playing out his style has evolved and he has developed a good rapport with the crowd, learning to read them and building a set around their responses. He really enjoys this flexibility, which helps to create a set that is going somewhere, rather than blandly staying on the same level. One of Marks ambitions is to continue giving clubbers a great night and quality sounds. He always looks forward to playing for larger crowds at bigger venues. He's also started spending time in the studio and has started using his own equipment with a view to producing his own sound.
