My name is Laura Skates. I am 38 years old. I grew up here in Orlando. OK, Apopka, but, I don't like to admit that. I graduated from Apopka High School in 1988. I have a 14 year old daughter, China and baby Madeline joined us on Sept. 17. I have been with my boyfriend, Barry, for 7 years. He works at Ticket Master and is the awesomeness behind Cryptic. On WPRK 91.5 FM, Fri. 3-6 am. The four of us make a great family. I manage a Chipotle in Winter Park. Prior to that, I was in retail management for nearly 10 years.
After high school I lived in a house with 5 roommates. They became a family to me, as well. I traveled the country with 3 of my closest friends. We hitchhiked, rode bikes, hiked mountains, crossed rivers and picked onions together. We went to Rainbow Gatherings and Greatful Dead shows. I settled down with China's father, Matt, for 5 years. Eventually we had to part ways, but, we are still friends. I have 2 sisters Jill and Wendi. I have two nephews Cypress and Gage, and one neice Asheray.
