About Me

I am peering through these eyes and searching for something sacred, something funny, something wonderful. Lately, I'm hum drum. I love to cook and make food look pretty on a canvas plate. I dance unabashedly. I count time signatures while listening to music. Insomnia has let me read many books lately. I liken myself to Harold when I want to be like Maude.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Movies:

Wings of Desire is probably my all-time favorite movie. Other's include Baraka, Harold and Maude, Amelie, It Happened One Night, It's A Wonderful Life, Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Darko, Time Bandits, Brazil, The Time Machine, Buffalo 66, Magnolia, Young Frankenstein, Ghost World, Flirting With Disaster, Dead Alive, Six Degrees of Separation, Torch Song Trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Music documentaries such as, Dig, Fugazi's Instrument, and Scratch, Dancer In The Dark, Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Splash, Bukowski: Born Into This, Cat On a Hot Tin roof, Shakespeare In love, Being John Malkovich, and Count Jack-u-la Part 6. There has been an epidemic of bad movies that have come out recently which is a huge disappointment.

Television:

Six Feet Under, Iconoclasts, No Reservations with Anthony Bordain, Project Runway, classic Twilight Zone, Top Chef, and Dog Whisperer. Guilty pleasure~ So You Think You Can Dance. Everything else is agony to watch but I endlessly surf the channels regardless.

Books:

I enjoy fantasy, dark humor, cookbooks, and short stories for my short attention span. The hit list includes, "The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran, "The Fermatta," by Nicholson Baker, "The Phantom Tollbooth," by Norton Jester, "The Bone-Setter's Daughter," by Amy Tan. I enjoy re-reading Anais Nin short erotica stories every now and then. Just finished Vonnetgut's "Gallapagos," "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt, and "Ghostwritten" by David Mitchell which were all amazing. Just finished reading "Number 9 Dream" by David Mitchell. He's turned out to be an amazing author who has now become a favorite. I've also been reading some more of Caroline Myss' books who impressed me greatly with her first book, "Anatomy of the Spirit." I am hoping to find some literature that moves me spiritually like Gibran's "The Prophet" did when I first read it. Any suggestions would be great.

Heroes:

Srinivasan Natarajan. period
